GAUZE believes that you have the right to know how your personal information may be used or disclosed. You take your privacy seriously, and we respect your concerns. Accordingly, we have created this Privacy Statement in order to describe how we collect information, what we do with it, and what controls you have. Please read it carefully. Unless otherwise indicated, this Privacy Statement applies to your use of the GAUZE website, app and API. If you receive a communication from GAUZE indicating that your Information has been collected by GAUZE or that you have been registered for any of the GAUZE applications (website, app or API), your use of GAUZE means that you agree to the terms of this Privacy Statement. “Information” means information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, phone number, areas of interest or data related to your improvement work or credit card information, and other information about you that is not otherwise publicly available. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that GAUZE does not own or control, or to people that GAUZE does not employ or manage.

We collect Information and other data from you in different ways and on many different parts of our website including but not limited to: when you register for the GAUZE website, app, or API; when you download or use interactive tools; when you comment or provide feedback on content; when you use the search function; when you share stories, tools and other resources; when you rate content on the site; or even when you are just perusing the site and reading content.
Registration
We collect Information when you register for GAUZE on our website, app or API. This Information may be updated by you at any time. We will not disclose the Information you submit when you register except as provided in this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use.
By registering, you agree that we may make certain Information (“Profile”) visible when you contribute content to GAUZE, and when you use or participate in certain site features and tools, including but not limited to user communities, blogs, wikis, ratings and comments, interactive tools, or groups. Public Profile Information includes, but is not limited to: First Name, Last Name, Photo (if you provide one), Job Title, Organization Type, Organization Name, City, Country, State/Province/Region.
We may use your Information to send you a newsletter or messages with updates and notices concerning new content posted to the site and/or products or services that might be of interest to you. Completing the registration information allows us to better understand you, your position, your organization type and interests. If at any time you would like to stop getting general email information you can do so by updating your Profile.
Contributing Content to GAUZE
GAUZE encourages your participation through submitting content and participating in the interactive functionality on the website, app and API including blogs, wikis, search features, interactive tools, rating or commenting on content, and sharing audio and video content, stories, resources, and tools. If you contribute any content to GAUZE, including but not limited to documents, stories, tools, and other resources, or if you comment on or rate content or providers on the site, or otherwise post content to GAUZE, you agree to allow us to make your Public Profile Information publicly available on GAUZE in connection with your activity.
You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose any sensitive Information on GAUZE. We recommend that you never give out your address, phone number, date of birth or social security number. You may not give out Information about an organization, a patient, or another person or submit other content if you do not have the express authority or permission to share that Information publicly.
Site Usage Statistics, Cookies, Advertisements and Web Beacons

To increase the effectiveness of GAUZE and tailor your experience of GAUZE, we may include a file, called a web beacon, within GAUZE. The web beacon allows GAUZE to provide anonymous, aggregated auditing, research and reporting of use of GAUZE.

GAUZE, GAUZE’S interns and other volunteers, third-party consultants and other service providers, and GAUZE employees may have access to your Information and other data that you submit or that we collect regarding your use of GAUZE website, app, and API on an as-needed basis, for the purposes of performing their respective duties for GAUZE. We use all of this Information and data to administer and improve the operations of GAUZE.
Aggregate Information or data on visitors to our site and how the site is being used, including the pages users are viewing, will also be logged. Aggregate data does not identify individuals but rather describes data as a whole. We may also share aggregate Information or data with market analysts, advertisers, business partners, sponsors, and any other third parties.
The User's Information may be used for legal purposes by GAUZE, in Court or in the stages leading to possible legal action arising from improper use of the GAUZE website, app, or API, or the related services. The User declares to be aware that GAUZE may be required to reveal personal data upon request of public authorities.

GAUZE links to other sites. Please recognize that we cannot control the use or security of your Information once it leaves our hands. If you have any concerns regarding the security or privacy of our affiliates, we encourage you to review their privacy policies or even to contact them directly. GAUZE is not responsible for the privacy practices, data collection, security or content of other websites. We treat any Information we receive from third parties as carefully as the Information you provide to us directly.
Security
We use industry-standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology, a secure server, and other physical and procedural safeguards to protect the security of your personal Information. Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the Information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet. Please keep your password private. We will never ask for it by phone or email, and neither should anyone else.
You may wish to delete unknown email attachments before opening them as they can contain destructive viruses. Remember that nothing you write on the Web is completely private — including email.
Changes to the Policy
GAUZE reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by giving notice to its Users on this page. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom. If a User objects to any of the changes to the Policy, the User must cease using this Application and can request that GAUZE remove the Personal Data. Unless stated otherwise, the then-current privacy policy applies to all Information that GAUZE has about Users. Your continued use of GAUZE following a posting of changes to this Privacy Statement will mean that you accept those changes.
By using the GAUZE website, app, and API, you consent to the collection and use of your Information as we have outlined in this Privacy Statement and our Terms of Use. If you do not agree to our policy, you may not use the GAUZE website, app or API.
