Christopher Garber
CEO and Co-Founder
Chris Garber is the CEO and Co-Founder who brings his multi-disciplinary vision to Gauze from his background in the US Army, international competitions in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Executive Protection which required him to travel the world —and sometimes be hospitalized abroad. Having competed in, traveled to and worked in close to 50 countries and all seven continents as well as proudly served in the United States Army where he was the III Corps Wrestling Champion, Garber understands the need to stay healthy while traveling. In 2008, he won the Brazilian national championship in jiu-jitsu yet by 2012, he suffered a major medical setback caused by a US physician that left him determined to ensure that all patients are treated with the utmost care and transparency. Garber graduated from Kent State University where he majored in education and completed the St. Joseph's University Entrepreneurial Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV). Following completion of EBV, Garber and Gauze were selected to be included in the veterans entrepreneur incubator, Bunker Labs. He is passionate about keeping people healthy, safe, and prepared for any situation.
Salvatore Salpietro
Chief Technology Officer
Digital Director at Child Mind Institute, co-founder and VP Technical Operations at IEBOX.com, and a hired-gun to build out software platform concepts to bring to market, Sal brings a litany of experiences to Gauze. Sal has abundant start up experience founding companies such as CodeSquare, Slap, ThinkWOW.me, MyRooms.co.uk, AfterWord, Trackete, and others. Sal’s expertise spans from SaaS architecture, infrastructure, software, hardware, mobile applications, digital marketing, e-commerce, client support, roadmap planning, and SEO.
Sal holds double bachelor degrees from Thomas Edison State University and the American University of Rome and a Professional Certificate from New York University. While he currently lives in Brooklyn with his family, Sal is often found in Florida, London or New Jersey. A dual US-EU national, Sal has traveled around the world and appreciates the global healthcare aspect that merges Gauze with international travel and data.
